Sticky residue - removal of?
9 Answers
How can I get rid of some horrid sticky residue from an airline label which is stuck to my new plastic see-thru brolly, without melting the plastic. I've tried nail varnish remover but that doesn't seem to work.

that shouldn't harm the plastic. I heard on How Clean Is Your House that mayonnaise works too (contains vinegar).
There are label removal formulas but I know from experience that they can react to plastic and dull the surface so I'd stay clear of these.

Robina I'l have you know that I've been after one of these brollies since 1971 when I did a flit from England and left my one. They are brilliant for seeing where you are going, provided there's no sticky stuff on it, and for not poking out others' eyes.
