New Gas Fire
We have removed our old gas fire and would like to replace it with a new modern one. We need advice on choosing a new one. Are all fires standard size. We will be getting a corgi registered work to complete the fitting.

if the fitter is someone you know call him and discuss it, preferably with a home visit because unless you are prepared to make changes to the hearth ,there are only certain types of fire for each hearth

We had a fireplace built from handmade bricks , the Corgi
fitter and the brickie had a a big row as handmade bricks and
technology do not go together , we did resolve the problem , and the fireplace is lovely . Most people go for marble , but it
is down to what you want , and the type of house you have .
