We live in a HARD water area and are having a problem removing all the scale from our shower doors. On finishing showering ,the doors are squeegied and wiped down with a dry old towel. On first inspection the doors look clean on looking closer however you can see the glass is still smeary. We have tried white vinegar, windolene, CIF, in a small area but no impression on this stobborn scale.
Can anyone recommend a way that will work 100%.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Might i suggest a water filter which will soften the water and its also improves the quality and taste go to ontapsystems.co.uk
Cillit Bang - Power lime and Grime. Works a treat on my shower door.
if your water is that hard, why not try intimidating it with the threat of sending in the heavies?
We live in a HARD water area too, I use a product like Viakal (can't remember the name of the actual product) from Lidl which I use about once a month and give the shower a really good clean, I use this on one of the non stick kitchen scourer pads, this gets rid of all soap scum and water marks, then during normal cleaning, I use the limescale wipes which I get from B & Q and everyone is trained to squeegee everytime they shower, this keep my shower doors looking good. Even my sister when visiting recently asked how I keep the glass so clean.
i use mr muscle bathroom, it very good and smells nice as well
Cillit bang works and also does Mr Muscle. I spray it on and use a spare sponge to clean the glass - then wipe off/polish with a towel (which I then wash, heh) but that seems to clean the glass fine.......I really need a swedish au pair or a page 3 girl who would do this for me but I live in hope.
you can get Mr Muscles shower shine that you use after every shower.

We use it and our water if left to dry on the surface turnes pink! So we bleached it off to get it all off first and then use Shower Shien after every shower, it does stop it happening as often, but occasionally we have to give a good clean!
Some of these products people suggest dont always get it all off i know ive tried all of them, what i have resorted to is the wire spongy things, it scrubs off all the water marks THEN i use mr muscel and this seems to do the trick and it does not scratch the glass.

Oh and i live in a HARD water area too.
Although it is an expensive solution and not worth doing for this reason alone, a water softener does stop this. And contrary and what someone above suggests, a water filter will not do as a substitute - it doesn't take the calcium out.
We have massive glass shower and have had no problems since I installed the softener. Now we can leave all the drips in place without wiping off each time of use.
I use Limelite, it seems to do the job but in previous home where there was a water softener installed I still got furred up kettle & scale on shower door. E Anglia very hard water.
