HiFi Speakers - Paint

Hi
Ive got some 4 or 5 year old Mission Speakers in beech finish. They are good speakers and I use them as my front L&R for my 'home cinema' set up.
Thing is, all my other speakers are black and my telly and amp etc are black. So I was wondering if I could paint the speakers to look like black finish speakers.
If so, how? What paint to use? Matt or Gloss? I dont think gloss to be honest.

If the Beech finish speakers are plastic or similar Bumper paint for cars gives a good durable finish. Apply as directed.

Its wood veneer i think, would it still work?

As with any painting job, preparation is the key. Get the surface as smooth as possible, and absolutely clean. I'd go with matt - over a carefully applied primer.

For speakers, I don't think you'd get what you want with a brush - it would have to be an aerosol, and of course you'll need newspaper and masking tape.

4candles is spot on but if you are not sure of spraying a mini roller can give a good finish, go for it !

Whatever paint/method you decide to go for, spend 'plenty of time' carefully masking areas that you want to remain unpainted... or you 'will' be peed off with the final result later...
