Please can anyone tell me how do I stop carpet fibre sticking to my shoes??
The office carpet where I work is the cheap, nylon, rubber- backed type and whenever I walk across it my shoes (everyone's shoes!) are covered with a carpet type dust (I must say the carpet is vacumed each night and is very clean - it is not a dirty dust) it is more like a static electricity thing!! Please help it is spoiling my day!

Ask your employer to get some anti-static carpet treatment carried out - the static build up could cause damage to sensitive electronic equipment (well, that could be your reason for getting them to pay for it !). In the meantime, or if that fails, try spraying the carpet with a little water, using one of those spray guns to see if that helps.
