my bosch excell washing machine has developd a very loud noise during the rinse and spin cycles. what is causing it?

Difficult to say without hearing it but, if the machine a few years old I would suspect the drum bearings.

My Bosch (WAE24162GB/03) is 2 years and 1 month old (2-year guarantee!!) and it, too has developed a loud noise which is, I am certain, the drum bearing. I have ordered a new kit from Bosch-Home website but I would welcome some hints on fitting it. I'm fairly competent, but you never know - I'm always open to advice. Ted
