Removing sweat/dirt marks from arms of aniline leather sofa.

It is a beige leather sofa with darkened areas on the arms, where hands have been. I understand that leather cleaning is a minefield, but would appreciate any comments or opinions please.

I used a tip off of How clean is your house, and that is get a bar of simple soap and clean it with that, the sofa come up as good as new
