In my kitchen I have a small double glazed window, which has a lock on the handle.Problem , the window is locked and I have lost the small key which opened it .Ido not know the original make of window nor the company which fitted it. All before my time here.
Any suggestions as to finding a replacement key would be very welcome .TIA Brenda.

Apart from getting a locksmith to look at it and try to match up, you do not have much hope.
If the lock part/handle assy could be removed, you could take it to one.
Window locks are not complicated. Get a fine piece of wire and jiggle it in the lock. It should open with a bit of messing about.

Thank you both for your help-- off to have a jiggle as we speak. If all fails locksmith to follow. Many thanks.
If you phone a locksmith ask for a price before calling them out.

Thanks slark will do.
As Caslass says ........... those kind of locks are fairly crude ... they have very few differs. In plain English, that means there are not that many different key combinations. Ask a few friends and neighbours if they have anything similar you could borrow.
