colour for bedroom walls.

Can't decide which colour to go for when I emulsion my bedroom walls.I have 5 different sets of bedding.
Black/Red
Pink/Cream
Lilac/white
Lemon/white
Latte/Ivory.
I change them around so I don't get fed up, but I need to choose a colour for the plain walls that will 'go' with the colours of my bed sets.
Any ideas?

Deep red/burgundy on a feature wall with cream on the other walls.

I was saying that in jest, because it is the standard rental flat colour that people are fed up with.

(Having said that, it is common because it 'fits in' with almost anything)

Rose white would go with most of them except perhaps the lemon set. Or you could go with brilliant white and have interchangable squares hung on the wall like pictures in the colours of the bedding.

You can't expect to get a coulour that co-ordinates with all the bed sets missprim unless you just paint the whole room cream. The deep red I suggested would go with all except the lilac (and possibly the pink, if it is shocking pink) as barb has pointed out :)

I agree with Prudie. Plain white walls with some nice pictures to soften them. And plain curtains as well. Then have soft lighting.

Have got the pictures and wall art that go with the various bedding sets but wanted to try some tester pots for a colour that is light yet warm as although white obviously will go, I think it's a bit sterile for a bedroom.perhaps those 'touch of whites' or whatever they are called might work, like rose white as Prudie suggested.

I used to have mine a really pale dove grey...........seemed to look nice with most colours.

If you are going to go dark and bold, just do it on one wall. Our bedroom is deep red on two walls and deep chocolate brown on the other two (not my choice, the bf's ex). It's like descending into the bowels of hell.

I agree with soft grey trouble is your bedding falls into two colour groups Warm Black/red, pink cream/latte ivory and cool lilac white/ lemon white. I think it would be best to choose one group or the other.... If you are brave go with the warm group and have Chocolate suede effect on one wall and deep cream on the others and have a mixture of red pink and cream cushions
The other solution is to buy a large throw in a neutral and use it to cover the ones that don't match... Actually magnolia will only go with the warm colours.. and dove grey or lilac for the cools as lilac and lemon work very well

chuck all the bedding out, decide what colour you want your bedroom in and then buy 2 sets of plain white bedding.

Most of the walls in my house are in antique white which is warmer than a stark plain white and you can change things about. As craft says, a very pale dove grey could go too and this always makes a room look bigger. If you want to warm up a room use different shades of lighting/lampshades or emulsion the ceiling in a warm colour.
