Just moved to a new property and I've just checked the plumbing under my sink for a new washing machine. There is a waste pipe and a cold water pipe, but no hot water pipe.
I understand that the new machine will heat the cold water to the required temperature, but I am wonder whether most WM's have a cold water pipe and hot water pipe feeding from the machine itself?
I am no good at plumbing so any advise please before I order one online would be much appreciated.
Thanks
If you already have the hot and cold valves on your pipes, just get a end cap to cover up your hot supply. It's 3/4'' and only cost about £1.50.
It's a bit of a belt and braces approach ... but do it anyway.
Sorry forgot to show you ... these are the universal 3/4'' caps I use.
If you have a hot and a cold appliance valve in your existing pipework. This just covers and seals the hot one, when you install your new machine with it's single cold inlet ... have checked as I bought 2 in Worthing earlier today ... definitely 3/4''
