I have a piece of studio glass(clear glass vase) which has whiteish limescale deposits on the inside surface caused by flowers standing in water over the years. Is it possible to remove these deposits without damaging the surface of the glass?

white vinegar strong solution, if it is glass not lead crystal harpic limescale remover will do it...will wreck lead crystal though
these work again and again provided you don't lose them down the plug hole. pour boiling water over between uses and you can use them on decanters and drinking glasses as well.

Thank you follyfancier! I've tried it and I think some of the deposit has been removed, but there is still quite a bit showing. Should I use hot water?

Thank you follyfancier - your answer seems to be the best for me! I have tried it and there is some improvement - the vase is spherical in shape with a small opening at the top - so it's quite difficult of put in foil. Does it have to be full of foil and would hot water be best? Many thanks 2Margaret
hi, yes you can use hot water as long as the vase will stand the temperature ,keep shaking it as that will help too,you don.t need to fill it with foil as it is the abrasive action that makes it work
