last year my neighbour put up a picket fence we was trying to be helpful when because a few years before he had built a large above ground fishpond going right up to the boundary we allowed him to start building his fence about 5 inches over the boundary on our side to allow him to get by his fishpond. but when we asked last year about putting some wire or screening on our side to their fence they said they didn't want anything on it. i need to block the gaps in his fence as my dogs can get through the gaps in it and they have a nasty dog .
all i want to do is attach something like chicken wire to his posts. the fence is about 140 foot long and i cannot afford to buy posts . i cannot see how chicken wire could damage his fence . advice please.
You don't want chicken wire .. you need rabbit wire (square sections, stiff wire)
Explain that you have to fix it your side of the fence because of the dog problem. Staple it on between posts and tension up.
It will not harm the fence.
