removal of chimney
own semi-detached two storey house .any advice on cost to remove chimney re scaffolding costs and removal of chimney, repairs to roof etc

Beth. First up ............ I assume the stack is on the gable end....... NOT between the two houses, 'cos half of it will be next door's :o(
Probably do-able with a decent scaffold tower (DIY job then).
I know one dopey "builder" who just threw the bricks down the flue! Let's not do that though :o)
Simple DIY job if you're handy. If you do get someone in, Zacs isn't far out in my opinion. Could even be a couple of hundred less if the access is easy. (i.e. no single story conservatories etc below the stack)

Hi buddy.. Don't think scaffolding are very expensive. Its getting cheaper price level day by day. So pls don't go with wood type of scaffold its very dangerous. Pls choose a best steel scaffolding and find better scaffold provider around you. Thank you
