Where to plant pampas grass
1 Answers
My neighbour complained for years that she didn't like my pampas grass where it was in my garden as it was too tall and she kept asking me to move it. It was 4-5 feet high and next to an open wire fence, but it wasn't close enough to be growing through it onto her side. I don't know why she objected because the only thing it blocked her view of was my own garden and then a brick wall behind that, but anyway ...
However, now my pampas grass has been cruelly mutilated and is completely dead all down one side (unless of course it has attempted suicide!), so I've decided to move it where it can't be damaged. The spot where it would look nice has a fence on one side and a holly hedge on the other, so it only gets the sun in the early morning. I can plant it any distance from those two though, so how far away would it be best to be from them and would it survive there or is it best where it can have sunshine all round?
