Can I Cut Down Trees On Our Boundary?
3 Answers
The boundary between my neighbour and I is not listed as mine or his (though I believe he feels its my responsibility) He has previously maintained that a) he likes the trees and so please don't fell them and that b) the boundary should be a bit further over - ie its moved in my favour over time. This is because I suppose he feels the wire fence has been erected to accommodate the growing trees. Even given that, far more of the trees are on my side and restrict the view from the house now. They are near both of our houses so I was really surprised when I previously mentioned my intentions he looked so dismayed - I want to bring down the conifers / leylandii. I know he will be upset and perhaps even try to stop me but failing amicable agreement I wondered if he has any rights to actually stop me.
