When we buy cash houses to renovate it takes around 4-6 weeks from agreeing a price to Completion but things can go wrong its a bit like how long is a piece of string. Only advice I can give is keep ringing the solicitor -they tend to 'forget' about these things on their desks

We once sold a house and from the viewer seeing it to us moving out was exactly three weeks. Her father was the conveyancing solicitor. Surprise surprise lol

have all your searches come back fine? i.e you haven't asked any questions? i brought my house cash and exchanged contracts a week after my searches came back as they were all fine. If you want to get the money quicker you can exchange and complete on the same day. Don't know if i'm stating the obvious here but i didn't know that.

Many thanks to you all.... things have now changed as the brother who is iving in the house at the moment has decided to only just start to look for a house to buy...so now everything I suppose will be going on hold until he finds some where and how soon his paperwork can be done as he is using his share of the house to buy a new one.
