Private Signs

I want to put up private signs on three of the field gates - have found some cheap ones 1mm rigid plastic - will I be able to drill/piece holes in the corners or will the plastic shatter? thank you

I remember doing something similar once and the trick was to put strong sellotape over the glass at the place you want to drill through.
If they are cheap you could try that with one

Years ago when I inherited a chunk of rural Oxfordshire I put private signs on a couple of 'out of sight' gates.
I had oblong car number plates made-up with PRIVATE on them, they're virtually bulletproof.

It may be masking tape you need or thick black tape. Good luck. I suggest you put googles on before drilling
