Central Heating Pressure

The pressure keeps dropping on my boiler
It’s easy enough to top up but its doing it daily
That can’t be right
I’ve no chance of getting an engineer at the moment

I meant to add - what’s likely to be causing it?

A leak ?

I thought that - although there is no sign of one
If it is a leak anyone any rough idea how much it will cost?
I imagine/hope there is some high tech way of diagnosing it

Depends on your system Ric. When you have, as suggested, checked for any obvious leaks and can discount that as the problem you need to have the Pressure Relief Valve(PRV) that usually discharges to an outside wall checked.(is it dripping when the system is on?) If your system has an Expansion Vessel that can also cause it. Both these devises can be affected by sludge in your system causing(particularly in the PRV)valve seating problems.
