Edging Between Stairs And Wall Keeps Cracking

My stairs keep cracking down the edge between the wall and the stairs, I have used caulking and but after a few months the cracks start appearing again.
Can anyone recommend an edging I could use, maybe something self adhesive or easy fix, not something that I need to saw as I am useless with a saw, that would conceal cracks.

Use some quadrant beading, either wood or White UPVC.

It might not be a bad idea to find out why the cracks keep appearing.

It sounds like the staircase strings..(sides) are moving...they need fixing with heavy duty fixings back to the wall before re-caulking.
