Said I would look for a friend but have realised not all insurance companies will cover these type of properties due to what they are built with. So does anyone have this type of property and if so who is your cover with please? Thank you x

I've no personal experience here but I've been doing a bit of googling and it seems that a product from Midas Insurance, called Midas Jewel, might be relevant here. It's available through a broker called Brightside Insurance, so it might be worth giving them a call on 0333 414 1872. (Calls to 03 numbers are charged at the same rate as those to 01 or 02 numbers, on both landlines and mobiles. So if you've got a phone package with spare 'included minutes', your call will be free. Lines are open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday).
