Renting A Private Home Through Agency

hi my daughter is renting a private home through an agency with two of her friends, one of which pays her share in rent bills and council tax and keeps up with keeping the home clean and tidy, the other however does not he pays his rent but refuses to pay council tax or anything to do with any of the bills gas water electric, his room is full of mould from dirty plates and the smell is wafting out from under his door, the girls have messaged him and confronted him on many occasions, all three are named on the tenancy which is due to end in may, the girls have somewhere else to move to but he is point blank refusing to leave when the tenancy is up , any ideas where the girls will stand with this

shouldn't be the girls' problem: their tenancy is over and they've gone, so they won't be trespassers/squatters. Tell your daughter to be more careful in choosing her friends.

If they paid a deposit, it could affect that due to the cost of dealing with the condition of his room.

if the flat is'nt vacated on the final day so it cant be relet an the landlord lose's income then maybe you'll all be liable for any rent or court /eviction costs??
