How do you get a copy of a deed of easement? My mum and her neighbour agreed many years ago to change the position of a right of way that went through mums garden to the neighbours house. (1987) They both agreed to have the right of way released and moved to a better position. Both went to solicitors and I have a letter confirming that the land registry had completed registration of the change of right of way. Mums solicitor sent her the deed but unfortunately it seems to be lost. The solicitor does not have it. I don’t need the deeds to the house which I already have, I need a copy of the deed concerning the right of way. I cannot see where on the land registry website I can get this. Can anyone advise, would appreciate any help.

Is it not just part of the deeds you can view online
Question Author
No, I have checked online and have the original deeds. The house was bought in 1985 but the right of way agreement was not until 1987.
it (should?) be on the stuff you can download for £3 from the land registry website. I recently downloaded some and there was a very interesting easement from 1909 recorded on there!
It should be on the Title Register
Question Author
On the title register there is a note saying by deed it was released, but I thought there was a separate deed sent to my mum which I cannot find. Is it sufficient that it is on the register of title.
The Title Registry held at the Land Registry is the only bit that really matters

Thank you all. Just spoken to solicitor and she confirms that it should be sufficient along with the paperwork from 1987confirming the change of right of way was registered with the land registry. Much appreciated all your help.
Glad you are sorted
It should be on the Title Register
I agree

Barmaid should be around: but I thought deeds werent reqd now, it was all done thro the Land Registry
otherwise you get the deed
burn it
and say ha! it doesnt exist now!
The Land Registry website should have a section where you can order documents referred to in the Register of Title. So, you have the Official Copy of the Register of Title (which you downloaded from the l/R presumably). You can see the Deed of Easement and its date referred to on the OC - so on the L/R website there's a section somewhere you can specify documents referred to in the OC. That is useful here is you need to see the route of the new RoW.
