Good Morning Early Birds! (Not Quite)
I said I'd try and start to do this in the mornings, get it going again! But the time will vary lol due to fabulous insomnia, but I'm sure you all like a bit of change now and then.
Well it's beautiful sunshine here and looking to be a glorious day! Does anyone have anything planned? Or just relaxing days all rounds. I'm hoping to laze in the garden with a book for an hour after I've checked on my in-laws on the phone - they are moving house on Tuesday after 33 years in this one and it's such a big thing to do. They were meant to be downsizing but I swear the new house is even bigger!! I'd absolutely hate to be moving, I remember just how big a deal it was.....

Later I plan to go to a lovely little cafe called The Wishing Tree by the Sea .... it's in a walledpark/garden where today there will be stalls selling local goods/produce .... I might even make a wish 😍 Enjoy your day. x
Good morning. Looks like we are echoing your in-laws, been here 37 years, we have a buyer and an offer accepted on another property. Our intention was to downsize and 'futureproof' ourselves. Like them we have ended up with something as big and an extra flight of stairs.
Lost count of the number of trips to the tip and charity shop that we have made.
Ahhh my first victims!(joking lol!)
Ive had about 3 hrs sleep but that's usual lol. Just chased off this huge grey tabby cat who keeps causing mayhem in our garden with my 2 cats - literally jumps over wall at the end into mine and chases my 2 until they chase indoors to hide!
The cafe sounds really lovely - especially in the sunshine. Bet it's popular today!
The in-laws did make me laugh a few weeks ago when they decided to tackle their loft to clear it out ready for the move. I don't know how many trips to the tip he did - with every one he said ' why on earth do we keep all this rubbish!?? We put it into the loft "just incase" , never to be used again!'
It's gorgeous Barry isn't it. Mr smow is up in his office(the loft is a huge office conversion) - he's opened the two Velux windows in the roof and both cats have instantly leapt out and are sitting on the flipping roof!! They are staring lovingly at a pidgeon sat on top of the tree right near them and I'm thinking please don't jump!!
Stress, definitely, it's been awful, we lost a buyer then the at the last minute had to pull out of one we were buying due to problems with the property that they kept quiet about. Our solicitor only discovered it when required documents didn't turn up so we could exchange.
Fingers cossed this one goes without any hitches.
Ubasses, sounds like a carbon copy of my in-laws scenario. Even this one isn't going to the plan - they are paying a company to come in tomorrow to pack up the entire house, they will literally sleep there tomorrow night - the last night - then removal guys are coming back Tuesday am to load everything into the vans and drive direct to new house. FIL had a routine hospital check up last week and was discovered that he needs unexpected surgery, so he is to be at hospital at 8am tomorrow for a day of tests/scans. No getting round it. Of all the weeks!!
g'morning - nothing to do with it morning - but a friend called with me about two weeks ago and was telling me of an in-law (not hers) but the lady decided to leave her lovely house - the usual 3 bedroom semi- to move to an apartment. Whatever happened she moved to the apartment (within other apartments) - and just never got around to selling her house - was in the apartment for 7 days and took squealing nerves at the loneliness and fortunately was able to move to her lovely house again and never regretted. Some times a move can be very stressful if you know what is ahead.
Morning JJ. you ok? Yes I'm worried that they'll regret it - they're both relatively young in my book, and constantly doing stuff, out with friends, going places etc - they're only 71 & 73 - and she especially looks years younger - but they have bought this fab new house in an area where they know NOBODY. At the mo they are about 15/17 mins away - when they move on Tuesday they will be about hour and a quarter away.
