(2) Can you turn down the speed of water entering the cistern. It can make a horrible noise if the flow is too powerful.
Number (1) is cause of problem at home Number (2) was cause of problem at work. Work solved - home we have to live with for time being as pipes are behind tiles etc!!!
(And no comments on number 1s and number 2s please!!)
It's probably the same fault that I had on mine. Try pushing the ball **** down when the noise starts. Does it stop? Sometimes the valve that stops the flow of water into the cystern vibrates when the water flow reaches a certain speed. The noise can travel through the pipes all around the house.
Try adjusting the water flow by the adjuster inside the cystern but if this doesnt work you may find replacing the "insides" of the cystern is all you can do to solve it.
