My garage is joined to my neighbours but is not joined to either house. My problem is that my part of the shared roof is leaking badly and needs replacing. I mentioned this to my neighbour but she said hers was ok and she wasn't prepared to go to the expense of redoing it.(It's a flat roof) If I redo my half it may cause problems for her as hers may start to leak where it joins, and she has suggested I would have to pay for her half as well if that happened. Anyone got any ideas how it can be resolved?

shes quite right in what she says, but that dosent help you does it,check out the deeds of your house as its a shared building there must be some sort of wording in your deeds to say what is what regarding repair to the garages
I'd just go ahead and replace my half. You see older terraced houses where one of the terrace has had the roof recovered - the roofer just joins it at the boundary.
