Replacing a boiler - removing a tank
I'd like to replace my current hw boiler with a combi - this would also allow me to remove the existing hot water storage tank, but above that is a cold tank. Would I still need to retain that, remove it altogether, or replace with a smaller one?
Thanks
p.s. it's in a second floor flat, and there is a separate, smaller tank in the loft

Daft old plumber took the redundant cold water tank out of loft and later refused to take it away because it's asbestos! What he should have done (and I did tell him before he started bodging) was to leave it in the loft. I would have then wrapped it in polythene and put it up a corner.
