Cobb Construction

Does any body out there know anything about Cob built properties? ie construction, renovation, problems with damp etc and how much it costs?

Talk to spab (Society for the Protection of Ancient buildings) they have at least one publication specifically on cobb buildings available here:

They are a bit specialised in that whilst I know of some great houses built of cobb I also know of a church in Buckinghamshire which the builders did not realise was cobb until it collapsed on them.
