These allow you to enlarge a dwelling from the ORIGINAL size (as built), or at 1 January 1948 if an old house. The amount you can enlarge depends on the type of house, but most conservatories will not be of such a large size to bust the limit. Some dwellings don't have Permitted Development Rights, so do as the 2 above suggest.

I contacted local council about whether is needed permission, and found that I did.The rear of my house backs onto a public road., and because I was within 20 metres of the road I needed permission. They wrote to my immediate neighbours to ask if they had any objections. Put it on their website, and charged me �l30 before they gave me the go ahead.
