Must a house have a bath?

I have heard form friends and relatives that there is some property law that states when selling a property, it must have at least one bath (having only a shower is not allowed).

Does anyone know if this is true?
Also where can I find more info about this law?

If that is the case there will be a lot of people getting into trouble where I live, including the estate agents who are selling loads of cottages with just a shower room, and what happens if the person who lived there was disabled and can't get into a bath ? I have never heard of such a thing, I own two cotttages myself that only have shower rooms, and I am not in the least bit worried about that, they will be sold.
i think your friends and family are having you on. there is no such law. my sister and both my sons only have showers in their properties.
A house does not need a bath, shower or toilet to be sold.

Houses are sold in varying conditions, many for renovation.

However, there is strict criteria that must be met for a house to be 'fit for habitation' - this includes either a shower or bath:
