LOL Buildersmate ! Quite right. You do, or did, see developers advertising that they'll guarantee a rental return (not, note, 'tenants'), but it's not exactly clear what they mean by that. Nobody gets something for nothing and developers aren't in the business of giving money away.My bet is that they adjust figures somewhere along the line and the small print , read carefully, is full of terms and conditions that make the promise potentially meaningless in practice.Or, as a car dealer friend of mine has it , referring to 'free finance' , special offers, extras etc on cars"There's only one cake. Cut it or slice it how you will, it's still one cake"
