i started my divorce procedings in September 2007, it has been quite a fairly straight forward divorce and amicable the only thing is that it has been a nightmare with my solicitors it is dragging on longer than it should do. In April 2008 i had informed them that i had the monies to buy my husband out of the property, however in August 08 they said to me that they did not know i had the money within this time i had been trying to contact my solicitor and was continuously given excuse after excuse reasons of not returning my calls so this had delayed in the first instance for over 4 months (this resulted in a complaint made against my solicitor and with a not very pleasant ending resulted with my case being passed on yet again to a third solicitor my 1st solicitor was a trainee who qualified and then left the company). the case has now finaly been sent to court to finalise the divorce this was done in the 2nd week of November 08 and it is know a month since it was sent and i have not heard anything from my solicitor and i am know having trouble getting in touch with her. How can i resolve this quickly as i have a 13 year old child and i am unable to move back in to my house as it is an unhealthy and it is not medically safe to move in.

This is a case which you should take up with the Law Society without delay. You seem to have had a raw deal with the service you have so far been given.
