Painting out dampness marks

For Walls using white emulsion how do you get rid of recurring marks or dampness rings that re-appear after painting?

(undercoat then gloss then emulsion over?)

Think you should check whats causing the dampness first..
If you deal with this then you can get a paint called stain block....it is applied over the stained area, and when dry, you can then go over the stain block with your emulsion.
Used it two weeks ago, and it solved the problem.

Hi dsvd, you can go out and buy stain block but if you already have gloss and undercoat, mix the 2 together in equal quanities and paint that on. It does the same thing. Then wait for it to dry properly then put couple of coats of emulsion on.
