Double glazed window wooden internal frame- WINDY
6 Answers
Upstairs bedrom double glazed window has wooden internal frame- i was shocked at how much wind was being emitted thru the wood- even though there were no cracks or splits
(The wind is not coming from the plastic areas of the window)
The wood is unvarnished could this be causing the wind to get thru?

Its not a timber window tho it has a timber frame?
Which bits are plastic exactly? you sure its not aluminium clad on the outside?
In any case if there is wind howling through either the fitting of the window isnt correctly sealed, or the sash is possibly warped in its frame and not sealing tight enough.
Is it inward or outward opening window? Inward opening is famous for this.
How old is the window? Is there a warranty (normally 10 yrs)?
