if you cant afford private advise try to find your nearest law school . im from essex and went to the Queen Mary Law School for advise. i had to explain my case to 2 students , answer the additional things they wanted to know and say what i wanted to acheive. my mate came with me , it took possibly 1 & half hours. present in the room was their tutor ,2 barristers and 1 solicitor. no one else asked questions the girls had to do the entire interveiw as if no one else was there. take any relevant proof, photocopies or statements , applicable .Thats everything done you will receive a ready built case through the post . my took about 2 weeks , the students do it for you , everything you need to know and how to do it. they are not able to assist in a court but from the sound of it you only need proceedure guidance and advise .they wont advise you incorrectly because the other 4 people in the room oversee all of the work before its sent to you. it was a nice friendly atmosphere they built me a great summery to work from and ,as a result of a little bit of guidance i was able to request a declaration of the court regarding my mums property deeds issue a summons to my sister. she counter sued me . i built my defence and represented myself at the 1st hearing . i aint doing bad at all but i wouldnt have done so well without their help . you wont get better unbiased advise anywhere. the students get fantastic experience , it is totally free. and you have the benefit of not 1 solicitor but a whole fully trained and practicing legal team ensuring nothing is overlooked due to lack of experience and the summery is legally correct for you to use in court. i hope this helps oh and if you do need to go to the court and you nervous you can hire a "mc kenzies friend" to help advise you and prompt you in the court but they cant speak for you. the fees are about £40 per hour a quarter of a solicitors fee. google it to learn how they will help. good luck . janet
