Neighbours Ivy Growing into into my garage
My garage is being invaded by my neighbours ivy it is growing up my garage wall over the roof it is now in the eaves so I now have damp patches on the felt inside the garage.
I asked them nicely if they would remove it on two separate occasions with no response I then wrote a message to them saying it was quite urgent that they do something as the birds were now getting inside, still no response.
I have been very patient ( at least 2 yrs) not wanting to cause any conflict but they have just taken the huff with me wont speak to me just look the other way. My son in law went round the other week and asked them again on my behalf but nothing has been done. I need a solution HELP

You legally have to offer them the cuttings as they belong to them... or you could ask them if they want you to dispose of them. To save 'relations' you might want to give them prior notice that you are going to cut it back yourself... only do it on your boundary - not theirs!
You could tell them that you intend to cut it back.. and that this is going to mean you need access via their property. Then tell them the date and time you intend to do it. If they have a problem with that.. then you may need to take more serious legal action...
If their plant is damaging your building - they may be liable for any repair costs and also these could be back dated as if they had done something about it before now - it wouldnt have become as bad as it is.
Try to keep it friendly... its really not nice living next to someone who you fall out with!
