I have recently applied for a joint tenancy and am no going through credit checking with Paragon credit referencing agency. As I am self employed I have had to provide 6 months of personal bank statements. I provided them with the statements which contain summaries of my income and expenses. However they have called and said I need to provide statements showing detailed transactions for the last 6 months. Is this acceptable and legal? Do i have to do this or can I object?

Everyone is twitchy due to the credit crunch and taking no chances, not sure of the legality but if you want the tenancy then you need to cooperate, its their right to be picky I guess
Sure you can object. Good luck with getting an approval(!)
