Loft conversion in a shared freehold
2 Answers
I have a share in the freehold of a property that is split into 2 self contained flats. I own the first (top) floor flat the other freeholder being the owner of the ground floor flat. I am wanting to extend into the flat but having read the lease there is no mention that the loft is part of the first floor flat, also it does not appear on the drawings on the lease.
Firstly, how do I go about finding out whether I own the loft or if it is shared and then how do I go about extending into the loft if it is part of the shared freehold.
