I am told that front and back the first three rows of tiles need removing, the felt replacing and the tiles put back . Job requires scalfolding. The quoted price inc VAT is £1300. It is an average sized house -not huge not tiny. Is that reasonable, a bargain or taking it big time?

Thanks

get at least 2 quotes and also recommendations if you can
It seems reasonable to me, but I agree with redcrx.
If that's including scaffolding front and rear, and VAT................ then the guy's not going to retire on the profits LOL
Definitely get a couple more quotes though Bambers
Seems reasonable to met - I paid £1000 about four years back for scaffolding and work round my chimney to correct a leak, replacing flashing and gulleys etc.
Scaffolding costs a lot. Probably 650-850 quid plus VAT in your case (at least)
Are the 1st 3 rows at the roof apex (top) ?
