Me and my ex wife bought 2 properties in joint names when married, we have divorced 2 years ago. I pay both full mortgages. We seperated badly and my ex wife decided to make seperate payments into mortgage of her own accord after divorce.
I was wondering could i buy her out of both mortgages ? if so how could i do that?
i can definately pay both mortgages and afford it .
Im also willing to remove myself off the mortgage if needs be i just want no links with her at all ?

you will need to firstly ask her how much she wants for her share (she may not even want to sell) then decide if this is acceptable to you. Then you need to ask the mortgage company. If you remove yourself off the mortgage, you wont own the house anymore, and the mortgage company will have to accept she earns enough to mortgage on her own (same with you if you have to remortgage. the quickest way if you really want no contact is probably just to sell both. Why wasn't it sorted out when you divorced?
You can't take your name off a mortgage - you have to take out a new mortgage in your name only, so you would have to meet current lending criteria. You would also have to re-register with the Land Registry and pay stamp duty if the transaction is above the relevant amount - plus of course pay off your wife for her share.
well i filed for divorce and luckily it went through, she just doesnt respond to anything. She just keeps paying money into mortgage account. Can the courts order for her to sell her share as i am willing to buy ? Both properties are mortgaged fully and not much equity so even if we do sell not much to gain.
