My washer does not get hot any more, could i........
6 Answers
I have a washer dryer that run off the cold feed, the washer hasnt heated the water for ages now so we have been washing everything cold. Also the dryer does not dry the clothes! I cannot afford to buy another or pay over over the odds to get it fixed as we have a baby on the way and all my money is going into buying what we need.
I was wondering if it would be possible to plumb the washer to the hot feed instead?? would that work?
Thanks for reading and hope you can help in some way!

On a long wash cycle (between fills) the water would cool over time.
You would then not be able to run a cool wash for non-fast coloured items.
I suspect that the cold wash problem is either a control fault or a faulty heater within the machine. With the price of basic machines at not much more than £100, I would suspect the machine to be beyond economic repair – based on engineer call out and parts costs.
