it took a couple of weeks to get used to mine and I still think it's a little hot occasionally, but, it's soo comfortable and sorted out some aches I now know my old mattress caused.
Chuck, yes, I forgot to mention memory foam, as I have my own bed nowadays due to illness, and find it fantastically comfortable, but my O/H wants a new one as we wore it out when I was a younger healthier virile sex mad,,,,,,,,,should I go on?
Carlton as mattress's are so personal, soft / versus hard etc - I would find the divan base first that suits your needs and the buy the most expensive mattress you can from remaining funds - obvious I know - lol - I have silent night - think it's called microcoil - was about £200 -, but have no idea what a Divan base cost's
I bought a Silent Night Miracoil less that 5 years ago and although it was a good comfortable matress to start with I am now having to look at replacing it.
I tried a Memory Foam but found it difficult to get up off it. I seemed to sink into it and turning over was a devil too.
Having done a lot of research I will be going for a Pocket Sprung Mattress this time.....and hope it "see's me out" lol
