weeds in the grass.

I have a lot of weeds in my grass (or i did have). I have a dog and look after my grand-daughter so don't like to use weed killers.
i have been round on my hands and knees and dug out most of what i can see and re-seeded.
Will the grass eventually spread from the roots and make my lawn look at least half decent.
I pull out the weeds everytime I see one emerge

There is some stuff you can get - blowed if I can remember the name of it now but I'll have a look later. You put it in water and water the lawn. It will get rid of the weeds and feed the grass at the same time - selective. and it does work.

Just had a look and it is called Doff Improved Lawn Feed and Weed. However, as you have said, you do have to take care around children and animals as it does contain weed killer. I think it would be all right if you kept them shut in while you did it. I have also noticed a product being advertised which promised to fill up the patches on your lawn. Unfortunately, didn't notice the name and haven't tried it.

Thanks. Yes I seem to remember seeing an advert for lawn patch repair. Will keep an eye out for it.

I think you'll find your lawn recovers well in time. Just remember to water your little seed patches if it hasn't rtained for a few days.

Grass will grow anywhere but where you want it too won't it!
