I've received some lily bulbs & the instructions say to plant them 6" deep,
but they've started sprouting ( about 2" long ) should I still plant them at
the same depth?
I've just found a load of little bulbs in the shed, I must have lifted them last year and forgotten about them - I've planted them now, most of them are sprouting, fingers crossed!
Leave the ends of the long sprouts protruding above the ground. Lilies can pull themselves down with their roots so they will adjust the depth later. If the sprout is short, you can bury the bulb at the recommended depth (2-3 times the diameter of the bulb). For more house plant care you can refer http://bit.ly/isbyVh
