problems with tiles around the bath!
3 Answers
we had a new corner bath fitted last year and over the past 12 months have constantly had to grout and seal the bottom row of tiles around the bath. We have a sealer around the edge of the bath and the bottom row of tiles. The line of grout along the top of the bottom row of tiles is constantly cracking and a gap appears. Even when we grout the space with the bath full it cracks as soon as you run and get into the bath. How can we resolve this? One idea is to remove the sealer from between the edge of the bath and the bottom row of tiles and replace this with one of those plastic strips you can buy, will this work?

The plastic strips are a bit unsightly and a good sealant is better. Get the bath fixed then reseal it with some flexible silicone sealant.
