What plants would you recommend for an open balcony (iron railings)that is on a hillside facing the sea and only gets sun late afternoon please?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.houseleeks and other succulents,,, a rosemary in a biggish tub with some thymes and sage with variegated foliage, agapanthus bulbs,(cram as many as you can afford into the pot as they flower better when pot bound) an olive tree again in a large container, troughs of ivy, small conifers and small euonymus plants, and white flowered annuals like tobacco plants and pinks, jasmine will grow ok in a largish container, and I'd also try an orange tree if I could take it indoors for the winter... if you are down south add the white passion flower up a wall trellis.... evening sun makes perfume a real must do as you will get the best of the fragrances
