How old is it? I had a young one that I planted last year, It did not flower that year, This year it has started to flower, I'm not sure how old it was when I bought it but I'm guessing it had been grown for a year already before the garden center sold it me. Some flowers don't flower for the first few years. They have to get used to their location and soil and establish before they start to flower. If yours is a young plant You have not had long then this is probably why It has not suddenly flowed yet.
I cut my mature bush down hard this year and it hasn't flowered nearly as much as in previous years - however, I suspect this is largely due to the very dry weather earlier this year. Last year I cut it hard and it was covered in flowers.
Or has it flowered in the past? I have 2 that had large lovely blooms for the last 5 years but this year both have small measly flowers on, I've put it down to the hard winter.
Same here in Scotland Prudie! Very poor this year....-I too am blaming the severe winter!
I hadn't thought about the winter, but my neighbour's is flowering well in the back garden, mine is in the front and less sheltered.
