Mat well frame
6 Answers
We have a mat well in the kitchen and are going to have vinyl flooring fitted but need to leave the mat well uncovered as it is the access point to the underneath of the house, does anyone know where we can get an edging frame to neaten and secure the vinyl around the mat well once the vinyl has been laid. I hope you understand what I am talking about, they used to be a common thing in houses but I don't think people use them much now. I have googled and looked on ebay but don't know what they are called. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Kath.

Hi The Builder, that is nearly right, if you can imagine four pieces of that made into a rectangle frame to fit around a doormat, that is sat in a mat well, and screwed to the floor to protect the edges of the floor covering from damage. I think if we cannot find a purpose made one my husband will be able to make one. Thanks, Kath.
