floor tiles, which type?

I have been looking to tile out my ground floor rooms in a high gloss tile, even polished concrete but that is too expensive starting at £40m2

There seems to be solid stone which seems to expensive but that's based on b&q and homebase prices and I get the impression it is a lot cheaper direct with a stone importer.

Then there's ceramic and porcelain tiles which are cheaper and look nice, but I don't know which one is more hard wearing. I liked a polished porcelain but it turns out you a had to seal them every 6-8 months and as it would be 80m2 with furniture all over it, that would be impossible to move everything the seal it.

Any advance I am completely lost,

If you're trying to keep well below £40/sq.m, then I guess glazed ceramic is the best option........... no sealing needed.
I wouldn't worry too much about durability. I would have thought a glazed tile was very durable. The only stone floor I've seen that does wear away over time, is bare terracotta.
What you choose is entirely subjective, Whatters ............. it's not something anyone can decide for you.
Don't despair! Just keep looking at as many as possible. :o)
