Vertical blind jammed

we took our vertical blinds down when we were decorating and now i have put them back i cant open them . It sounds like the plastic cord is stuck as it is making a grinding sound . Is there anyway i can release it ? thanks Jasmin

When you rehung the blind sections, could you see inbetween the sections or were they overlapping each other??
If they were overlapping the wrong way, they would be stopping the adjacent section from rotating (opening) when you pulled the opening cord.
Just a thought!
the cord could be stuck in the grooves along the top of the blind

Hi no tried both your suggestions and its still the same . I have realise tho the little hook at the top ( not the technical term i know ) where it would all kind of fold back onto, where the chain is and the only hook that does move along the header bar isnt moving at all to rotate that section of blind so thats the one thats making it jam . Does that make sense ? Jamin
