When two corners meet............

When wallpapering is it necessary for any kind of lining paper to be put up
where two corners meet.?
If a wall which was damp has dried out is it necessary for anything other
than good quality wallpaper paste (obviously on the wallpaper) to be used.?

However new the house you'll find the corners aren't straight, so as with all wallpapering don't try to spread paper around the corner as you would if wrapping a parcel. Paper up to the corner then mark the exact line by gently pressing in the paper making a crease, peel it back and cut neatly along the crease line and then pat it into the corner angle.
Provided the wall is not crumbling you should be OK papering straight on, but if in doubt it always helps to size the wall first with a PVA solution and let it dry. Even if the wall is perfect you get a better result by sizing the wall with paste before you paper.

Wall papering looks so simple, it has driven me to distraction many a time lol.

You should mark the corner as you say .. with a crease visible .. or pencil line.
Then you should trim the cut edge 5-10mm (extra) from that line, so it will fit around the corner ... wet, without puckering up.
Then place the matching paper into the corner cut exactly matching pattern and repeat if/as required.
